- • Local Storage Only: All user preferences and bookmarks are stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API and never leave your device
- • Minimal API Calls: The only external request is to fetch YouTube transcripts from ytcompare.com/api/python-transcript using only the video ID
- • No Tracking: We do not track your YouTube viewing habits, video history, or any activity outside the extension
- • Daily Limit Tracking: The 20 transcripts per day limit is tracked locally in your browser storage with only a date and count - no identifying information
- • Transparent Permissions: All Chrome permissions are used solely for stated features (video controls, screenshots, transcript access)
- • No Remote Code: All extension code is packaged and verified - we do not load external scripts
- • No Data Sales: We never sell, share, or monetize any data from extension users
